Climbing Equalizer Belay Bag

We made this belay bag because we love to climb together.

This counterweight belay bag is perfect for climbing partners who have a disparaging weight difference between them who climb indoors or outdoors! The Belay Bag is intended to be use as a COUNTERWEIGHT and NOT a ground anchor.

If your weight ratio is between 1.33x and 1.5x, you need countermeasures. Beyond 1.5x, you’re gambling with both bodies.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

• 120lb belayer → 180lb climber = 1.5x ratio (absolute limit)
• 130lb belayer → 173lb climber = 1.33x ratio (comfort zone)
• 100lb belayer → 200lb climber = 2.0x ratio (dangerous without intervention)

Made from durable midweight polypropylene (PP), our lightweight belay bag can be carried empty to your climbing location and then filled on-site with available rocks. Indoor climbers? the bag also fits plated weights!

It's not a one-function item - put your gloves, belay goggles, belay device and sling all inside the bag to stay organized. The belay bag has a 400 D mini-Diamond black Ripstop top with pull toggle to easily close and keep your rocks, weight, or supplies from falling out.
